Project Overview:
Focus: Thematic analysis of the CEFR Companion Volume (2018) and related literature/documentation, aligned with the research project's major concepts.
Phases of the Project:
First Phase:
Framework Analysis: Using NVivo for qualitative research to extract a thematic index and gather insights.
Applied Approach: Ensuring the analysis leads to practical applications for society and higher education (HE) language learning.
Key Themes: Accessibility/Inclusion, Intercultural Communication, Multilingualism, and English as a Lingua Franca for international European contexts.
Second and Final Phases:
Guidelines and Materials Development: Using insights from the first phase to create guidelines and didactic materials for blended learning in EULCs.
Goals:
Comparative Analysis: Comparing findings with other RUs to identify key correlations.
Principled Development: Creating learning design guidelines and materials with a focus on inclusiveness, accessibility, and effective communication in intercultural/multilingual contexts.
This structured approach aims to enhance blended learning design in EULCs, particularly in the post-COVID-19 era.
